I'm obsessed with...

I'm currently fascinated with the sun, literally, the brightest star around. One of the regulars at the food co-op where I volunteer put me on to NASA's solar and heliospheric observatory page. The images captured by the various satellite's are amazing, the colors are so cool, and they provide great insight as to the working's of the sun.  Check out the website http://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/data/realtime/realtime-update.html.

ps- they also have an iphone app., the graphics are great

What are you currently fascinated by?...God bless.

Sweet father of mine...

Visions of cradling you in my arms,
I want to infuse your soul with the love and comfort you were denied
Protect you from the demons that inhabit your life
Lift you up to the most high, away from the darkness and into the light
because that's where you belong, until the end of time
Sweet father of mine...

Never give up on those you love, I know the pain they inflict on us can be overwhelming but
love and forgiveness can help overcome that. Some people are just deeply troubled souls and it's up to us to, our purpose, to help make a positive difference in their destiny.

Are you dealing with any serious family troubles, share with me, how do you feel? cope? forgive?
God bless...

A place of Serenity...

After dealing with the sometimes stressful/challenging flow of everyday life it's imperative that our home be our sanctuary, it's the only place we should be able to find serenity and peace. The reality, however, is that we tend to drag our problems home with us, we never give ourselves a break. Also, unfortunately, a lot of stress stems from the home and at that point it's all encompassing, throwing our beings completely out of balance. And this is not conducive to our health be it physical, emotional, or spiritual. I speak from experience guys, I'm consciously seeking that balance in my life, the last couple of years have been unbelievably challenging and the roller coaster ride has not stopped. I know many of you can empathize. This is why I am sharing this link from the Gaiam website, it speaks of how beneficial it is to create a sacred space for ourselves and our family. We deserve to have a space that is free from the clutter of everyday life, that inspires peace, serenity, comfort, and clarity. Good luck to all of us!!

Please share your thoughts with me...God bless.

Transitions, transitions...

So, I'm at that point in my life as a mother, that I must transition back into having a life outside of Jordan and my home, plus I need to make some extra money plain and simple. And it's the hardest most guilt-ridden time ever, I feel so bad that I won't be with my baby full-time! However, I'm maintaining my composure it had to happen at some point :-(, I move into a new phase of life, of parenthood. It's an exciting new turn but i'm terribly nervous, I have to admit. For some reason, I'm just so scared! It's been on my mind all the time as I start my job hunt and start figuring out how to best make this move. Wish me luck out there!!

Mommies, share with me your experience, how did you manage it? How did you really feel?...God bless.

TOXIC AMERICA...

CNN.com has a great special coverage going on about how toxic the world around us really is. It's covering everything from toxic fruits and veggies to how toxic our air is to babies being born toxic(can you believe it?). Every time I read all the information that is out about toxins, I practically cry, sounds dramatic but it scares me so much. I have a beautiful baby boy and I feel helpless knowing that he's been born into such a dirty world, and I mean that literally; every breath he takes could be killing him slowly. However, I try not to panic, I do my best to feed him healthy and organic foods, to not use toxins in our home, and to help make a difference to keep our earth healthy. It sounds corny but, "every little bit helps", don't doubt it. A lot of us become paralyzed when we feel helpless, because we do not see an immediate cure we feel that our efforts are obsolete. But if that were true then some of the biggest breakthroughs in society would never have occurred-the abolition of slavery for one, women's rights, apartheid- are all examples of overwhelmingly difficult circumstances that were overcome, slowly but surely, by individuals who valued every effort as minute as it might have seem at the time. I encourage you all to trash that mentality if you practice it, instead effect positive change even in the slightest way, but just do it!!  Click here to access the special coverage.

My Grandma...

My grandmother was an amazing woman, not famous or rich but she was as real as they come. Sadly she passed last Thursday, May 13, 2010 at the age of 87, after putting up an inspiring fight to live. Towards the end her body basically started breaking down little by little-heart, lungs, kidneys-but her spirit was as strong as ever. I'm so proud of my family because we really did pull together to do all we could for her and show her how much we love her, that brings me an immense sense of peace. It does not by any means override the overwhelming sadness and shock ( I still can't conceive that she's gone)) I feel, but that peace is what's helping me make  it through my days.

Death is so hard to grasp, the idea of not existing anymore is just too unimaginable (at least for me). However, I accept that it is a part of life, and life is ,"...but a breath." (Psalm 39: 5-6). It's important to live your best life now, as cliche as that sounds; Embrace all that is good-God, family, peace, humility, nature. Yes, life is challenging and abstract, to say the least, for some more than others. And that is precisely why, we must encompass the beauty of life, it will serve as our shield in the journey. My grandmother, had her fair share of trials and tribulations throughout her life (a very inspiring one to me, I hope to put together a biography of sorts, in the near future) and it toughened her skin a bit, but she never gave up, she fought right until the end. If I would not have embraced my family as I have all of my life (thanks to the example that my grandmother and my mother have set for me), I would have missed out on a very amazing life experience-being able to witness her fight as well as being able to re-pay her all that she did for me right when it mattered most in life. Beautifully enough, my family and I, those of us who live here in the states, did it together, as one. It was an inspiring and intensely moving experience, even thought we were all overwhelmingly sad, the love and unity overpowered all the negativity. I pray all of you get to experience those emotions and if you embrace them, the course of your life will be forever changed.

God bless...

My Favorite...

My son and I always take time in the afternoons to grab a little snack in our neighborhood, plus I simply treasure those little moments we share as we sit on one of the benches to share our snack. These days we are obsessed with the Cinnamon Crisp from Amy's Bread and we always wash it down with their fresh squeezed OJ. The Cinnamon Crisp is deliciously cinnamini and crispy (true to it's name), definitely a must-try if you are in nyc, they also have lots of other yummy fresh baked goodies to delight your taste buds!

What is your favorite afternoon delight, please share with us?...God bless.

"I'm nice like that..."

R.I.P. GURU (of Gangstarr)...Guru, along with DJ premiere and Primo, brought a new dimension to hip-hop, his raw yet jazzy and smooth creative approach really is one of the many reasons I LOVE  and will always love Hip-Hop. If you haven't heard any his music start with this(if you're a fan, you already know), Guru was a powerful lyricist, you'll know what I mean when you listen to him, click here, for one of my favorite tracks- FULL CLIP (it was hard to pick one), it was released back in '99, still hot!!! But don't stop there, he was very prolific, venturing into jazz with Jazzmatazz, he was ill!...God bless!

Plant, anyone?...

I'm all about  keeping my home clean and green, literally and figuratively. One of the easiest ways to help keep your indoor air quality at a healthy level is to bring in easy to care for plants. Personally, I like Philodendrons and Ivi's, they are easy to care for and don't need much sunlight, also they are the only ones I haven't killed off. The NYtimes had a short and sweet slide show detailing some of the best indoor plants, i love all of them! Take a look, click here...

Soulful, Creative, Dark...

For some reason Alexander McQueen, the designer,  is heavy on my mind today. So, I decided to write about him...I'm not exactly sure why he's on my mind, yes I was both sad and intrigued when I read that he had passed on and by way of suicide at that, so so sad. It could be because i'm starting to really tap into the creative chamber of my soul and with that comes a flood of emotions-happy, amazed, somber, melancholy, angry-to name a few. He created beautiful, raw, impacting statements inspired by everything from politics to sociology through his fashion designs. Furthermore, he was truly a talented designer, mastering different aspects of the creation process from tailoring to pattern cutting. Something rarely seen in these times. A true artist...
Now, just for the record, I'm not a fashion junkie by any means much less a serious follower of high fashion (these days I can't even afford to look that way) but I do deeply appreciate creativity and elegant aesthetic; And that he was, along with funny, witty, romantic, sensitive, tough, complex, soulful, and dark all rolled in one, much like a lot of us. He absolutely had an allure about him, he's one of those individuals who was born to do what he did-impress, shock, and wow us with his visionary and avant-garde approach to fashion. What a sad end, to his story though, I wish he could have held on. Yes, the journey gets tough at times, some stretches longer than others but life is a gift and it's not our business to end it. But it is our business to make the best of it, give it all we got, and stay humble. God will always carry us through, believe that!

Awareness...

It's incredible how some of us can go through life and not be AWARE-clear, sensitive, and conscious of life's individual moments and of the being's in our life's- of what is really going on around us. Up until I had my son, the concept of being aware had not even surfaced in my frame of thinking; but once I became a mama the word totally came to life for me. As much as I'd experienced, loved, lost, conquered, traveled, accomplished, dreamed, wished, etc., for 28 years i'd been sleep walking. Quite a feat considering what i've gone through and even though hard times have not stopped knocking 'round here, the ride has been much less turbulent now that I'm aware of life...One of the many important pieces to the puzzle that is  my life is my yoga practice, even if I only devote 10 minutes a day to it (some days that's about all the time I have for myself) it brings me a deep sense of harmony and you guessed it awareness ;-). It helps me connect a little deeper to my body (muscles, tendons, bones hard at work), my consciousness, my loved ones, to the broader world around me, and to God. Seems like a lot from such a seemingly simple act; that is the irony of life.
Yogajournal recently had a good post on Yoga and Awareness, it's an insightful yet quick read. I'm copying and pasting from my email, I can't seem to link directly to the article, only the website. You can access the website by clicking on the title above.

Be Inspired
Our asana practice can have a positive impact on our lives because it constantly asks us to become more sensitive, more conscious, and more aware of our bodies, minds, feelings, and emotions. As our sensitivity increases, life becomes more rich and enjoyable because we can taste the unique flavor of each individual moment. More important, we also become more aware of what moves us toward our dharma, or life path, and what takes us away from it. This awareness makes us clearer and more peaceful, more able to elegantly handle life's endless dilemmas without feeling overwhelmed or fearful. As a result, we become more effective in all of our actions, and our presence begins to inspire and bring out the best in people around us.
The awareness that we develop on the yoga mat, though seemingly small, affects all that is. As we become more aware in our yoga practice and in our lives, as we move away from force and violence and toward sensitivity, feeling, and awareness, we change our individual consciousness and actions. In turn, these changes influence the consciousness and the actions of everyone we meet. Slowly, we shift the direction the world is taking. As we practice each asana, whether it be a challenging twist such as Ardha Matsyendrasana II (Half Lord of the Fishes II Pose) or a simple standing pose such as Tadasana (Mountain Pose), we have the opportunity to become the embodiment of peace and to make our practice a prayer for harmony in the world.

Blending Organic Oils...

I've been looking for short, clear, and concise info. on how to blend essential oils for beauty and body use and I finally found it, yay, here's the link! I like to make my own beauty/bath/body and my own home cleaner's, for that matter, and this little conversion table/guide on blending essential oils is just what I needed, now I can be a little more adventurous ;-). For my next project I'm going to be blending some oils to use as an after bath moisturizer for my little fat boi(my son jordan). I've been using Weleda's Calendula oil(i will be attempting to make my own as well) on him since he was born and I love it, his skin loves it. Calendula really nurtures, heals, and hydrates the skin and it's worked on his minor diaper rashes. It's worth a try if you haven't already. However, I want to change it up a bit now that he's older and his skin is not as sensitive (as a newborn). There are myriad ingredients in the natural world to choose from, I'm excited! I will keep you posted on my journey, I'll post recipes as well...God bless!

Processed...

That is exactly how I felt after seeing my doctor this past week, PROCESSED. I went in hopeful and positive (I haven't found one doctor in my life thus far that I feel is kind, caring, wise, professional all in one) and totally maintained my composure when I realized that the lady sitting in front of me in the labcoat was not LISTENING to me, nor did she care to expand on what I was communicating to her. It was not necessarily a short visit but I still came away feeling cheated, confused, annnoyed, etc. I am soooo over the whole health care situation going on this country and I am definitely over the whole medical profession! Is it because I have medicaid (I'm so grateful for medicaid but I feel so judged and poorly treated simply because I have it)?
You see, I have been afflicted with this weird scary chronic(everyday for the past year) dermatitis which affects me everywhere on my body at random(or so I think) times throughout the day. MY symptoms include-Burning sensation, redness, swelling(it looks like welts of some sort) of the red area, sometimes bruising (once the redness and swelling go away), and itchiness of course. I have no answer as to what might be causing it, the doctor had very little to say, except for recommending that I take a low dosage of loratidine (generic claritin) everyday for a month, oh and for me to keep a symptom journal(the one good suggestion she gave me), and to go back and see her in a month. I have some very serious apprehensions(I prefer to try and figure out exactly what's ailing me and treat it with homeopathic, ayurvedic, or herbal medicine) about taking loratidine even though I know there are no major side effects associated with it; I don't trust the FDA or the pharmaceutical companies, so I really focus on staying healthy and exhausting all my natural medicine options before I turn to pharmocology, but I decided to work with her and take her suggestions. Oh, and I also developed eczema(both conditions arose after five months of giving birth) on the back of my neck going into to my shoulders and back and as well as on my lower back, I must admit, I'm managing it so i'm not in need of medication. Organic shea butter, tea tree, and other organic oils as well as not exposing the affected parts of my skin to a lot of water, help keep my eczema under control. However, I wanted her to expand more on the condition or tell me whether it might keep spreading (it's making me feel very self-conscious with the skin discoloration brought on by the eczema), and other useful information, but I got very short run-of-the mill answers, in my opinion. I have high expectations of the people I trust to help keep me healthy, I try and do my best to keep myself and my family healthy as well; I never go in expecting them to work miracles (I trust on God for those) and I have a lot of respect and appreciation for the work they do, why are these health care un-professionals so jaded? It's daunting at times.
Anyway, excuse my rant, I'm just very frustrated and I know that a lot of you are dealing or have dealt with similar and worst experiences, I empathize and I know you will also. I am starting my journal as of Monday and will update you once I see my doc again in a month, let's see where she goes with this. In the mean time, I am going to see a private dermatologist (soon, I hope, the rates here in the city are outrageous) and I'm hoping to also start acupuncture treatments, I'll report on how it goes.

Please leave me your comments/suggestions/rants...Have an amazingly blessed EASTER weekend, take God's love in, it feels amazing!!!!!

Urban Mama...Contaminated Fish oil?

OMG, this is the type of thing that really scares me...So, it turns out that some of the major health supplement brands-GNC, CVS, NOW FOODS, Solgar, to name a few- have been selling us fish oil that have, " illegally undisclosed and unnecessarily high levels of contamination with polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) compounds, according to a lawsuit filed today in California court." This information comes from the FishOilSafety website and it contains very important information regarding some seriously alarming deficiencies in the fish oil supplement industry. please click here to access the site and article...It's sooo important to to do our research as consumers and to support the brands that we know are responsible, transparent, and sustainable.

Leave me your thoughts comments...God bless.

The Essence of Beauty...

The essence of beauty lies in the cultivation of true health-healthy eating, exercise, natural skin care, healthy stress management, and nurturing the spirit. When all these elements come together and find harmony and balance within our life's, our true and inner beauty will inevitably radiate forth, for the world to admire. Now, don't get it twisted, I know this is no easy task, I fall off track here and there, at times more here than there. Life's twist and turns can sure diverge our focus but we MUST re-gain it and move forward. Life is not a bout getting it right all the time, how boring and predictable would that be, but it's about what we learn from every bump and how we apply it to our tomorrow. Health is beauty, Happiness is beauty, Kindness is beauty!
Yoga Journal (a great site) has a fantastic article on True Beauty, I found it very insightful and helpful, I took notes on this one. Click here to check out the article, I encourage you to do so and please leave me your thoughts/tips...God bless.

Mommy moment...

My baby boy absolutely fills my soul with the most amazing emotions ever felt! He's 17 months now and driving me bananas or "to drink" as my friend pep, likes to say. However, I would not have it any other way, this mommy thing is waaaay harder than I ever imagined but I would not give up a minute of it. J, my son, is rapidly discovering this amazing world around him and his role in it, so fascinating to watch! He's just starting to enunciate certain words like "thank you" and "you're welcome"; oh and he will not say "daddy" for the life of him, which is crazy because he absolutely adores his daddy, funny. But this morning he uttered "thank you" as I handed him his Kleen Kanteen, the clearest i've heard him speak thus far. And you can imagine how sweetly those words resonated in my ears, I almost cried. It's incredible how a seemingly simple act can impact your soul so deeply, and my baby totally uplifts the innermost part of my being... Please, be loving and kind to your kids, to everyone around you for that matter, but the fabric of who we go on to be in life is greatly impacted by our early childhood socialization, LOVE and KINDNESS can never be overstated.

Please, share your favorite mommy/daddy/parent moments with me, I look forward to being uplifted...Have a blessed day!

Honey love...

I want to dive into that amber sea
and be wrapped up in the sweetness that there is
where it's just we, no more you, no more me
that honey love is enthralling, it's where I wish to be
but reality comes calling, I must resurface, eventually...

Way Up High...

I want to grow wings and fly
I want to see eye to eye as birds soar by
and you ask why?

I want to breathe the pure air way up in the sky
I want to swim through seas of white splendor
and imagine myself with wings of an angel

no more fear of heights
no insecurities lurking by
just revel in the freedom way up high

laughing without care as the wind plays with my hair
my destination? nowhere and everywhere!
finally living life without a care

I want to grow wings and fly fly, way up high, way up high!

Food for thought...

Today, I would like to share with you two simple yet very relevant and insightful articles featured on Yahoo news...
The first one is about taking chances, in every aspect of life, sounds simple enough but it is not so. There are a number of people, myself included, that are paralyzed by fear-fear of "no", fear of loosing, fear of failing, fear of looking stupid, fear of getting hurt, etc., and therefore loose out on all that life has to offer. Personally, I have a very hard time getting over various insecurities, I started this blog as a way of helping me overcome this overwhelming sense of "not being good enough" that I carry with me, especially in my writing. It's a day to day struggle for me, as I'm sure it is for a lot of you out there, but I'm determined to beat this torturous behavior, I have so much to value and to look forward to in life, I don't want to miss out on any of it anymore. I encourage you guys to read the article and reflect on it's very simple message-take a chance, what have you got to loose!

The second article pertains to the positive qualities that make for healthy relationships, very very important. In this age of faster, bigger, better, and more the genuine qualities that makes us such special beings have been pushed aside. Everyday, I am disheartened as I encounter people across all spectrums who carry such spirits self-centeredness and lack of good will towards others; And themselves, I must add, because I truly believe that if you don't respect and love yourself, you won't be able to treat others with the respect and love we all deserve. Take a minute to read this article and reflect on what you can do to reciprocate all the positive energy you can out into the world.

Please share your thoughts with me, if you will, and have a blessed day!...

Kitchen Beauty: Get your skin ready for spring...

I love this kitchen beauty tip from Vital Juice (a healthy living site, click on the title above to access the website); Yet another example of the diversity of yogurt, loves it! By this time of the year most of us, here in new york at least, are due for a physical spring cleaning, if you will. The constant shift between cold wind and indoor heat (not to mention environmental pollution, stress, etc., etc.) wreaks havoc on our delicate skin and gentle scrubbing is necessary to get that sexy glow back, don't you think?
This quick and easy DIY scrub (adapted verbatim from Vital Juice) is just what we need, try it, you'll love it! Please use all organic products if possible:
Brown Sugar Yogurt Scrub
Mix 1/2 cup plain yogurt or vanilla yogurt with half a cup of brown sugar
Massage on dry skin in the shower until sugar dissolves. Rinse off.
To really seal in the moisture, slather skin with sesame oil right after your shower. "It's not greasy and absorbs almost instantly", says Freedman.

*I've tried this recipe many times and I can attest that it makes your skin feel and look fabulous, especially if you are consistent with it, and sesame oil is absolutely a must have for every natural beauty regimen. I've been using organic sesame oil for quite a while now. I use it on my face, body, and as an eye make-up remover, it works great for me. And trust me, I would know if it wasn't working, my fiancee has no hairs on his tongue, as the old saying goes ;-)

Kitchen Beauty: Yogurt anyone?...

So, I needed a little mood/beauty lift yesterday, life's been very challenging 'round these parks, but I was not sure how to go about it. Then, it dawned on me (while preparing my baby and myself a snack), I haven't done a yogurt mask in quite a while. Yogurt is awesome!; not only does it serve as a yummy healthy snack or meal (my son and I had bananas w/yogurt and agave for breakfast, hmm good!) but it does wonders for your skin.
Did you know? that the lactic acid tightens, soothes, and soften your skin. It also refines pores as well as gets rid of germs and other bacteria, this is due to its natural antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. Little ol' yogurt packs quite a punch. My skin looked great afterwards and most importantly I felt great!
Yogurt Mask (if possible, use all organic ingredients)
1 Tablespoon of Plain Yogurt
1 Teaspoon of honey (use an extra tsp of honey if your skin is a bit dry or a squirt of lemon if it's oily)
If the honey's hard, warm it up a bit until the consistency is slightly runny. In a small cup mix both yogurt and honey well. Apply all over your face (and neck if you are up for it), except for your eyes, and let it sit for about 20 minutes. Rinse off with a warm cotton or muslin cloth (I like to splash w/cold water afterwards just to close up my pores).
You will feel fabulous, the results are almost immediate, your skin will look radiant, really!

Please, let me know how feel about this beauty tip and share some of your own kitchen beauty tips w/us. Also, check out this link, the site has great natural beauty recipes/tips-http://www.totalbeauty.com/content/flash/c_natural_homemade_beauty?lc=nw1131-2

Doctor, doctor...

I found this NY Time's article very poignant and an important topic of discussion for all of us. In the past two years I've had very disappointing and aggravating experiences (even while pregnant) with doctors, nurses, receptionist, and insurance providers. It has left me feeling hopeless, to a certain extent, because I see no positive tangible changes occurring. It's all about the money, the sincere commitment to a patients overall well-being has been pushed aside for the dream of that third estate in the Hampton's. I totally support Dr.Brody's assertion that the medical profession, collectively, has to take a stand, centered on the long term well-being of their patients.
The only positive aspect of this is that it has made me more focused on keeping myself and my family as healthy as possible so that we don't have to deal with doctor's. Sadly, I have not found one that inspires trust in me, plus I don't have private insurance or money to pay the obscene rates they charge these days, that leaves me out of luck. It gets me so upset thinking about all this, especially because I have a baby and I want him to be treated with respect, professionalism, and genuine care above all. The medical profession is really in a state of disarray, to say the least, I pray they (as a whole) rise to the challenge and STOP focusing on how they can continue to maximize their income.

Please leave me your thoughts/comments, and let's shout out those true and good doctor's out there, they deserve it...God Bless my friends.

Pocket full of dreams...

I have a pocket full of dreams, like jack and his magic beans
anxious to take flight, but scared to soar high
fear of heights? it ain't always what it seems

dreams of all kinds, excited to see light
i take them out, here and there, but always hold on tight
my dreams help soothe me when darkness passes me by
they shine so bright, i can't contain the light!

they encompass all that i am, all that i will be
i couple them with my faith then close my eyes, what a sight
i am transported to another place, farther than the eye can see

my dreams are held captive by me?
but i want to set them free, to see them soar high over the seas
the day is near, slowly but surely i'm fighting the fear

I have a pocket full of dreams...

Do you have a pocketful full of dreams? share your dreams with me...God bless.

Would you like a glass of polluted water? Not me!!!

I am sooo outraged by the folllowing NYT's article I read this morning, please take a minute to read it and take a stance: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/01/us/01water.html
It pertains to the ruling on behalf of the supreme court that some corporations are exempt from respecting and adhering to the CLEAN WATER ACT, yes the issue is multifaceted one, but we can all agree that clean water is essential for human existence, no? And we must all do whatever it takes to keep our water clean!
A lot of states, florida for example, already have very low quality water available to them, an issue that must rectified and now we are all in danger of being afflicted with the same problem, it is unacceptable. Whether i'm drinking it, washing my hair in it, dipping my toes in it, bathing my child, or taking a ride on my boat (for those that are partial to this)- we all have the right to be provided with clean healthy water for daily living, there is simply no way around that. So please please, take a moment to read this article, seek more information, and most importantly let your voice be heard, the only way we will make progress is by being vocal (respectfully of course), standing our ground, and participating in the process of our democracy!
As for the supreme court, I can't recall one conscious positive ruling they have made in quite a long time, as someone commented the court should be outsourced to India and I agree, what do you think?

Please leave me some food for thought on this issue, it's so very important to all of us!

Wishing you all a blessed day...

45 minutes of YOGAMITE, try it!

Hello! I've been gone for a minute, you guys know how life gets, but I will be posting more frequently from now on, check back with me and let me know what you think or suggest!...

My mornings are very busy, non-stop cleaning, cooking, and playing of course (i have a 17 month old baby boy, we are playing race cars as I write), i'm sure lots of you can empathize. I hardly have time to eat sometimes but I always make time, even if it's 20 minutes, to workout. I've been working out mainly at home since I was pregnant-who has the time to hit the gym? or there favorite yoga studio :-(? Not me kids! That is why I was elated, yes elated, when I found exercisetv.tv, this site is great because it brings all kinds of workouts right to your fingertips. A lot of good workouts are free and some they charge a fee for, i'm sharing with you today one of my favorite 45 minute yoga/cardio videos. I could not say enough great things about this particular video, it tones, lengthens, stregthens, de-stresses, and provides a little cardio-everything you want out of a workout, at least for me.

If you are just starting out in the game, sort of speak, take it easy and do not be too hard on yourself, no need, patience is important. Treat your body with lost of love and care and be patient with it; once it gets going you will be amazed at where it will take you and what it will do for you! Take this from one impatient mama, I work on it everyday, some days are better than others but it's all part of the journey. And for you gals that are have been rockin' it out already, you will enjoy it, it's just challenging enough, this is great for those of you who are at a level 2 in your yoga practice, in my opinion, i'm no expert now. Just try it and please let me know what you guys think-do you love it, hate it, or share your workout secrets with us!

Thanks for stopping, have a blessed day!...
